Dr. Mario Festin is a Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Clinical Epidemiology at the College of Medicine at the University of the Philippines, Manila. He is also the convenor of the Philippine Study Group in Reproductive Health at the National Institutes of Health Philippines based in the University.  Recently, Dr. Festin served as a Medical Officer at the Human Reproduction team at the Department of Reproductive Health and Research at WHO Headquarters. He is an obstetrician gynecologist, with graduate master degrees in health professions education and clinical epidemiology. His main area of work is on research and guidelines on family planning /contraception.
