Haingo Rabearimonjy
Dr Haingo Rabearimonjy is a Medical Doctor, specialising in Sexual and Reproductive Health with 15 years of experiences that was built in the field. He started his career as a service provider within private clinics, graduating to referral hospitals in Madagascar before working with different NGOs involved in health programs from District to National level. Dr Haingo has a particular interest and experience in LARCs, permanent methods and quality of care.
Currently, Dr Haingo Rabearimonjy is the Head of the Programme & Health Systems Strengthening Department at the International Planned Parenthood Federation Africa Regional Office. Within his responsibilities, he is directly in charge of a team of 20 regional staffs supporting IPPF Member Associations in 38 countries in sub-Saharan Africa by designing, managing and providing technical leadership and support in SRHR/FP area.
Previously, he held the position of Technical Advisor on Access for SRHR/FP for two years, followed by four years as SRHR Program Advisor within the Africa Regional Office of International Planned Parenthood Federation. Before joining the Africa Regional Office of IPPF, he served within the IPPF affiliate in Madagascar in various positions from National Medical & Service Provision Advisor to a Program Director and then acting Executive Director. He was mainly responsible for transforming the association program from family planning to a comprehensive and integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights. He also worked with other NGOs supported by international partners and donors, such as World Bank, USAID, EU and UNFPA. These NGOs had different multi-year projects focused on MNCH, HIV or Community health response development.
