Communication for Development Foundation Uganda
Since it was established as an NGO in 2002, Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU) utilizes SBCC to improve behavioral and health outcomes by increasing demand for and uptake of services, and improving consistent long-term maintenance of behaviors. CDFU provides coordinated messages and activities across a variety of channels to reach multiple levels of society, including the individual, the community, services and policy. CDFU focus is in sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence, food security and livelihoods, WASH, Covid19, financial literacy and civic education.
CDFU maintains in-house design units for media products; print, electronic and radio. CDFU produces the award-winning and longest running radio serial drama in the country, Rock Point 256, now in its 17th year, and maintains a helpline +256 800 200 600 for counselling and referral on a variety of health, mental health and another emergency.
CDFU has a reach of all Ugandan districts, as well as East African region.
